The Archdiocese of New York owns the property now and is planning to sell it to the highest bidder. Over the past year, the Cooper Square Community Land Trust has been working with former parishioners of the deconsecrated Church of the Nativity to advocate for the trust to acquire the church property and develop it for low-income senior and homeless family housing.
